Step 1: Upgrade to ChatGPT Plus

  1. Go to chat.openai.com and log in.
  2. In the left sidebar, click Upgrade plan → select Plus → complete the payment.
  3. Once upgraded, you'll see "ChatGPT Plus" in the top-left of the interface.

What you should see: The interface looks the same but you now have access to GPT-4o and the Custom Instructions feature.
